Drawings 47 - 50

This is my current stack of daily drawings. It's a little smaller than it was a few days ago since I sold a handful of them in my Etsy shop!

47 Wolf
Although this series of drawings is a technical exercise for me and I'm not creating them simply to sell, it is always cool to send them off to a new home.
48 Ladybug

This wolf drawing stretched over three days but now it is one of my favorites. I think it was the background that took so much time!
49 Koala

I am quickly catching up on my Etsy uploads and I'm almost there....almost!
50 Mouse and Balloon
This mouse and his balloon are part of a cute little series of mice I have drawn. The next two will be in my next drawing update.

Drawings 41 - 46

41 - Bunny
Here are some more drawings from a few weeks ago. I'm heading back up to my cabin for the weekend so I'm trying to be as productive as possible before escaping to the land of no technology!

42 - Sugar Glider
Some days I feel like I'm running out of rodents and small things to draw but if I watch some David Attenborough nature documentaries I find that the world is full of odd, cute little furry creatures! It's amazing how many different variations of these small mammals have evolved over time throughout different parts of the world.
43 - Bumble Bee
Various insects, fish and birds have been a fun break from furry rodents but I have found that I have a few favorite animals. So far I've drawn multiple raccoons, foxes and bunnies but mice (or things that look like mice) seem to be my subconscious favorite. Otherwise I've been reasonably adventurous and attempted have to draw a wide variety of animals.

44 - Siamese Fighting fish
Part of what has slowed me down in this drawing process is getting good photos. I waited a week to take all of my fish and duck photos in front of a lake! It is also time consuming getting all of my Etsy listing photos edited and uploaded. Basically the tech side of things is the most frustrating part of making art, but let's face it, I have nothing to really complain about.
45 - Ferret

Hopefully I will have a productive weekend at my cabin and have another batch of drawings ready for next week!
46 - Snail

Another week of Drawings! (28 - 33)

32 - Duckling
30 - Monkey
33 - Opossum
I'm back in the city for three days before heading back out into the wilderness to hang out with nature.

I have been frantically trying to get all of these drawings online, which is more time consuming than you would think.

29 - Lemur
I think the duck is my favorite out of this group of drawings but the excited opossum makes me smile every time!

28 - Bear Mouse
31 - Donkey
I have been slowly adding all of these drawings to my Etsy shop and updating my website but it's a slow process. I'm currently uploading drawing 23 so that puts me a solid ten drawings behind. If you are interested in owning any of these drawings ($15) you can check my Etsy shop or send me a message/email.

Daily Drawing Day 5

I have completed five days of my daily drawing challenge. I spent most of the week at my cabin, so completing a drawing a day has been really easy so far but I'm hoping that I get a little quicker with practice.
I spent most of today
trying to get good photos of these critters. I ended up getting creative with flowers and sticks and have decided to make it a bit of a theme with these drawings!
Day 5 Squeeker
Day 4 - Hummingbird

I will be posting my daily drawings on my facebook page and Instagram account daily. To make life a little easier for me I have decided to release the week's daily drawings every Friday.

This weeks drawings are now for sale ($15) in my Etsy shop.

One a Day Challenge 1-3

1 - Robert
I have decided to challenge myself this summer by making a small drawing every single day. In the past I have not been super successful with these types of challenges but I am really dedicating myself to this particular one.
I'm taking it back to basics using only pencils and erasers and drawing small animals on 5" by 7" bristol paper. I'm hoping to improve my technique and speed with this challenge and to explore new subject matter with my art.
My Challenge began on Monday June 19 but since I was enjoying the silence of the forest at my cabin I couldn't post my first few drawings on time.

2 - Weasel
I'm going to attempt to post my daily drawings every day however I predict that I will miss the deadline every once and awhile. Each week I will update my Etsy shop with my drawings so if there is one that you like you can purchase them for $15 each.
3 - Koala

In loving memory of my little friend Robert I dedicated my first sketch to her. The Weasel and Koala were random cute selections from the animal kingdom!
